Save 95% on Universal Audio's Electronic Music Bundle, a collection of audio tools and software. Midi Maker is a music generator tool that is completely free and operates on a random basis. This tool assists in the rapid and effortless creation of new music.
When beginning a new piece of music, there are numerous approaches you can take. For instance, you could start with the main melody, a series of chords, a particular rhythm, and so on. To assist with this process, Midi Maker is a free tool designed to make it simple and efficient for you to create fresh music.
The way you begin something has a significant impact on how everything else will unfold. For instance, the elements of harmony and structure play a crucial role in shaping the melody, while rhythm can also influence the way phrases are formed, and vice versa.
Many musicians believe that there is one specific method that is the most effective, but ultimately, what works for you is the best approach. Personally, I have always avoided fixating on a particular method and instead allowed things to unfold naturally, even when it comes to personal projects, without being too confined to a specific genre.
On the positive side, having more creative freedom allows for greater flexibility and expression. However, the drawback is that excessive freedom can often result in creative block, similar to when I find myself spending more time searching for movies on Netflix rather than actually watching them. Additionally, it can lead to decreased productivity when compared to a more organized and structured approach.
There are situations where having complete freedom is not possible due to existing guidelines, and Midi Maker can serve as a valuable tool in such cases.
Midi Maker is a tool that creates music by combining different elements such as polysynths, drum machines, and chord patterns. It takes into account the preferences set by the user, such as genre, structure, tempo, and key, and then generates new music based on these characteristics. Additionally, the generator provides the option to adjust more advanced parameters to further customize the generated music.
After acquiring the basic knowledge and skills, you have the freedom to decide the quantity of chords, melodies, and other musical elements you want to incorporate. If you have more than one chord, you have the option to categorize the harmonic progression as Static, Sectional, or Progressive. Additionally, you can modify the number of variations within each section.
After you have prepared yourself to make some music, Midi Maker will direct you to the following page. On this page, you will be able to listen to a preview of your creation and make changes to the melodies, bass, chords, drum machine, and chord patterns.
Every component provides different options and settings to adjust, such as Envelopes, Density, Timing, and Velocities. You have the ability to make adjustments in real-time and immediately hear the updated outcomes during playback.
Although there are numerous settings available for customization, the process of generating something is solely dependent on randomness within the confines of those settings, rather than utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning. The advantage of employing randomness is that it guarantees the creation of something distinct and avoids producing generic outcomes.
Once you are satisfied with your progress, you have the option to download the MIDI file and insert it into your digital audio workstation (DAW) or software to continue working on it.
There are two versions of Midi Maker available. The Free version allows for one download per month and is limited to 4/4 time. On the other hand, the Premium version costs £19.50 per month and offers unlimited downloads, the ability to use any time signature, and includes Motif
By registering at this moment, you have the opportunity to receive a discount of 50% for the initial three months. Any assistance that facilitates the initiation of a concept is highly beneficial, particularly for individuals who consistently require generating a significant amount of content.
I thoroughly enjoyed using Midi Maker and was pleasantly surprised by its capabilities. It serves as a unique tool to ignite creativity, and I believe it will continue to grow and improve in the future.
My main worry is that the Premium version of the product will struggle to convince users to spend their money on it instead of other options, considering that prices are generally high for similar products. However, only time will reveal how successful it will be in this competitive market.
If you use Windows and haven't yet tried epicCLOUDS, the latest free offering from Variety of Sound, you should definitely give it a go!
Saying "Happy New Year" at this point would be considered too late and might even elicit laughter. However, since this is my first post in 2024, I would like to extend my well wishes to everyone and express my joy in being back.
Take a look at this offer: Midi Maker is available in a free version or a premium version for £19.50 per month.

Hello, you are greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read BPB! 🙂

I have to agree with the statement that developers often believe their ideas are highly valuable and assume that bigger companies won't copy and offer similar products. This has been observed multiple times in the past year. While I wish them luck, they need to be more realistic. It's not as if they are putting in any effort beyond compiling their ideas.

Contrary to the negative comments, I found the capabilities of the product quite impressive. If I were a frequent purchaser of MIDI packs, I would consider MidiMaker as a preferable option.
However, requesting $20 per month for a specialized product like this is quite a large demand. Personally, I find it more enjoyable to create my own melodies and rhythms rather than using pre-made ones, as it feels like I am taking shortcuts. The Midimaker software does not fit well with my usual workflow and it is not financially feasible for me to subscribe to it. Additionally, I have a strong dislike for subscription-based models and I am certain that my opinion on this matter will never change.
I must acknowledge that if the product had a single, affordable payment, I can imagine myself contemplating it during moments when I lack creativity and require some inspiration, or when I feel bored and want to experiment with my Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) for a couple of hours.
I believe it would be beneficial for the developer to reconsider the pricing structure and possibly introduce a combination of subscription and alternative payment options. Regardless of the decision, I sincerely wish the developer success as their product is of high quality.

I believe that inspiration can be found in anything, and I don't judge where it comes from. It could be something as simple as the sound of rain, or discovering a new genre through a MIDI pack, or even stumbling upon a piece of generative code. Whatever sparks your creativity. I guess you could say, whatever makes your cat purr. Anyway, I don't want to criticize something that clearly requires effort. Personally, I have found great value in using tools like CodeFN42's RandARP or Transition, which provide constrained randomization as a source of inspiration. They are incredibly helpful. Regarding the subscription model, I understand that some people may prefer it, but I personally can't get on board with it. 🙂 I hope the developer is able to find their audience. Maybe offering a third pricing option in the middle (with full capabilities but limited usage, like once per day) could help attract more users and allow them to determine if they truly need it. The competition is tough. :/

I believe I mentioned this before, but it's possible that my comment didn't get posted. There are various software tools available such as Atlas, Captain Epic, XO, Harvest, Phrasebox, Orb Plugins, etc. that provide similar functionalities without requiring a subscription. This decision seems unwise. While it might be interesting, I won't invest my time in something that I can simply purchase for a similar price.
