However, based on what I have witnessed, the songs that have a lasting impact on the world are not created by individuals who rely on shortcuts. These individuals are skilled practitioners of the art of Christian songwriting, effectively communicating their message through their craft. They didn't simply attempt to write a song one day and miraculously create something like "Amazing Grace," "In Christ Alone," or "10,000 Reasons."
They were already dedicated to learning and improving in their craft before the more successful artists arrived. They were always educating themselves on how to create impactful lyrics and tunes that could deeply resonate with listeners, something that had a special and indescribable quality that could be felt when heard.

Consider taking a break from consuming any kind of news for a few weeks and instead use that time to reflect quietly on God's love and goodness. You may find that this shift in focus allows positivity to overflow into your music. Negativity steals your joy and contributes to feelings of fear and anxiety. Take a pause and replenish your heart and mind with the spirit of Jesus once again.
