The Unforgettable $31 Million Necklace: A Look Back at Carrie Underwood’s Grammy Awards Moment

  • by

Do you recall the $31 million necklace that Carrie Underwood wore at the Grammy Awards? Well, her red carpet outfit at the 2022 Grammys was not nearly as costly. In fact, the combined budget for all the singers that year probably did not even come close to the value of the 381-carat diamond necklace.

Underwood's song "Blown Away" won a Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance on February 10, 2013. During her performance at the Grammy Awards, she wore a notable dress that illuminated and displayed different colors and patterns.

What remains in people's memory is only the necklace.

Underwood expressed to E! News that she feels a significant burden on her conscience. She admitted to having concerns about being physically attacked and having her belongings, presumably something valuable, taken away from her.

Johnathon Andt lent a necklace worth $31 million to her. This necklace had oval, pear, marquise, and white diamonds and its value was significantly higher than her total assets. According to Forbes, she was recently recognized as the second highest-earning American Idol star, having earned $5 million from May 2011 to May 2012.
