After having all charges dropped following his arrest last Monday, Chris Young confidently responded to the online critics who had been harassing him.
The vocalist used social media to share a surveillance video and deliver a message to those who accused him of being at fault for physically engaging with a law enforcement officer.
On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence and decided to drop the charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had already acknowledged that they had urged Young to step back from the situation after he attempted to intervene in their inspection of licenses.
A video obtained by Taste of Country depicts Young attempting to intervene and halt an agent's actions, displaying minimal aggression. One perspective raises doubts as to whether he made any physical contact with the man at all.
The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. In a recent video posted on his TikTok account, he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.
The person who wrote this is addressing the trolls who are telling him not to touch a cop, and he is clarifying that he did not touch the cop.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer facing any legal consequences from the incident. He will probably resume his promotional activities for his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
