Chris Young confidently responded to critics or online harassers after having all charges dropped following his arrest last Monday.
The artist used social media to share a surveillance video and address those who criticized him for touching a law enforcement officer, expressing his viewpoint.
On Friday, Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence and decided to drop the charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had already acknowledged that they had urged Young to "create distance" after he attempted to interfere with their license check.
A video obtained by Taste of Country depicts Young's non-aggressive behavior as he attempts to prevent an agent from proceeding. From one angle, it is unclear whether he made physical contact with the man at all.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. He recently posted a video on TikTok where he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.
"I didn't physically make contact with the police officer," he states in response to those who criticize him for not interfering with the officer.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer legally involved in the incident. He can now focus on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
