Chris Young Clears His Name: Assault Charges Dropped and Trolls Shut Down

  • by

Chris Young confidently responded to his critics after the assault charges against him were dropped, showing his strength and resilience.

The vocalist used social media to share a surveillance video and address those who accused him of being at fault for touching a law enforcement officer.

On Friday, Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk revealed that he had completed his examination of the evidence and decided to dismiss the charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had previously acknowledged that they had urged Young to keep his distance after he attempted to intervene in their inspection of licenses.

Taste of Country obtained a video that depicts Young's restrained behavior while attempting to prevent an agent. The video raises doubts about whether Young actually made physical contact with the man.

The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he did not physically make contact with anyone. He recently posted a video on his TikTok where he addresses the incident publicly for the first time.

"I didn't physically make contact with the police officer," he states, addressing those who criticize him by stating, "Do not physically engage with a police officer."

Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer legally involved in the incident. He will probably go back to focusing on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
