On Friday, the Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk declared that he had completed his examination of the evidence, resulting in the dismissal of charges. The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had previously acknowledged their actions of urging Young to keep his distance when he attempted to interfere with their license check.
A video, which Taste of Country obtained, depicts Young attempting to restrain an agent without displaying much aggression. From one angle, it is uncertain whether he actually made physical contact with the man.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. He recently posted a video on TikTok, where he addresses the incident for the very first time.
To those who are criticizing and advising against engaging with law enforcement, I want to clarify that I did not physically make contact with the police officer. This statement is aimed at addressing the misconception that I had any physical altercation with him.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer facing any legal consequences for the incident. It is expected that he will now focus on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
