Chris Young confidently responded to his critics, commonly referred to as 'trolls', after the charges against him were dropped following his arrest on Monday.
Using social media, the singer shared surveillance footage and conveyed a message to those who accused him of being at fault for physically engaging with a law enforcement officer.
On Friday, the District Attorney of Nashville, Glenn Funk, announced that he had completed his examination of the evidence and decided to drop the charges. Earlier, the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had acknowledged that they had urged Young to keep some distance after he attempted to intervene in their license check.
Taste of Country has obtained a video that depicts Young's behavior as non-aggressive while attempting to restrain an agent. From one perspective, it is unclear if he ever made physical contact with the man.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never physically made contact with anyone. He recently posted a video on TikTok where he addresses the incident for the very first time.
"I want to address those who are criticizing me and advising against interacting with a police officer… I want to clarify that I did not physically make contact with him," he expresses.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer legally involved in the incident. He will probably resume his promotional activities for his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
