Chris Young confidently responded to his critics, known as 'trolls,' after all the assault charges against him were dismissed. He showcased his satisfaction after being declared innocent following his arrest that occurred last Monday.
The vocalist used social media to share a surveillance video and address those who accused him of wrongdoing for making physical contact with a law enforcement officer.
On Friday, Nashville District Attorney Glenn Funk announced that he had completed his examination of the evidence, leading to the dismissal of charges. Previously, the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission had acknowledged their role in urging Young to "create distance" after he attempted to intervene in their license check.
Taste of Country has obtained a video that depicts Young attempting to intervene and restrain an agent without displaying much aggression. From one perspective, there is speculation as to whether Young actually made physical contact with the man.
The singer of the song "Young Love & Saturday Nights" claims that he never made physical contact with anyone. He recently addressed the incident in a video posted on his TikTok account, marking the first time he has spoken about it.
"I did not physically make contact with the police officer," he states, addressing those individuals who are criticizing him by saying that one should not engage with law enforcement.
Since all charges have been dismissed, Young is no longer legally involved in the incident. He can now focus on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Night, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
