Ernest, the son of Loretta Lynn, recently underwent a surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns about the success of the procedure. However, on Monday (Jan. 29), Ernest's wife Crystal shared an update stating that he has started to show significant improvements in his health.
Crystal expresses on Facebook that she cannot find any logical explanation for what has happened, except attributing it to a higher power, which she refers to as GOD. She shares how one day they were unable to have a successful dialysis session for a total of three weeks, but the next day they were able to. Similarly, one day they were facing more severe circumstances, but the following day those circumstances seemed to have improved. Crystal highlights the contrast between feeling uncertain about the future one day and then suddenly having confidence that the future holds promising outcomes.
Crystal expresses her belief that GOD is capable of accomplishing things that we, as humans, are unable to do. She further states that GOD has indeed accomplished something remarkable. Crystal also shares a picture of Ernest, who seems to be recovering in a medical facility. In the photo, Ernest is seen sitting in a chair and connected to medical machines, but he appears to be at ease.
During Ernest's difficult medical journey, Crystal has reached out to fans and asked for their support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant impact that prayer has had on Ernest's improving health.
She expresses that none of the achievements would have been possible without the belief and trust that people have placed in them, the guidance of a powerful deity, and the prayers and encouragement received from others. She expresses gratitude to everyone who has been a part of their support network and for their willingness to take the time to pray for them. She also acknowledges everyone as a member of a divine force and expresses everlasting gratitude.
In addition, she mentions that Ernest is fortunate enough to be able to return home for his recovery after his time in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn survived the passing of two of her children, Betty Sue and Jack Benny, who she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. Betty Sue died in 2013 due to complications from emphysema, while Jack Benny tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on the Lynn family's property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills. She reached the age of 90 before her passing. Throughout her life, she achieved remarkable success as a prominent figure in country music and holds the record for being the female country artist with the highest number of awards.
