Loretta Lynn's son, Ernest, recently underwent surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns that the surgery may not have been successful. However, there is now some positive news as Ernest's wife, Crystal, has shared an update stating that he has started experiencing significant improvements in his health since Monday, January 29th.
Crystal expresses on Facebook that she cannot provide a logical explanation for the events, attributing them to a higher power, possibly God. She shares that one day they were unable to have a successful dialysis treatment for three weeks, but the following day they were able to. Similarly, one day they were dealing with more severe circumstances, but the next day the situation improved. Crystal highlights that one day they were uncertain about what the future held, but the following day they felt optimistic and believed that the future would be positive.
Crystal expresses that God has the ability to accomplish things that we are unable to do, and she states that He has indeed done it. Alongside her words, Crystal shares a picture of Ernest recovering in a medical facility, sitting in a chair and connected to various machines, but seemingly at ease.
During Ernest's difficult medical journey, Crystal has reached out to fans, seeking their support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant impact that prayer has had on Ernest's improving health.
She expresses gratitude for the fact that none of this would have been achievable without the faith, prayers, and support of others, as well as the divine intervention of God. She thanks everyone for being a part of their support system, for taking the time to pray for them, and for being members of God's army. Their gratitude is everlasting.
In addition, she mentions that Ernest is fortunate enough to be able to return home to recover following his time in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn has lived longer than two of her children that she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first was their oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was their oldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their family property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved remarkable success as one of the most accomplished artists in country music. Lynn holds the record for being the female country performer with the highest number of awards.
