However, there is now encouraging news about his recovery as his wife Crystal shared that he has started to show significant improvements in his health as of Monday (Jan. 29).
Crystal expressed on Facebook that she has no logical explanation for the positive changes she has experienced, except to attribute it to a higher power, which she refers to as God. She mentions the inconsistency in the success of her dialysis treatments, with three weeks of unsuccessful sessions followed by a sudden improvement. Similarly, she mentions the fluctuation in the severity of her circumstances, going from facing serious situations to a more hopeful outlook. Crystal acknowledges the uncertainty about the future at times, but also expresses newfound confidence and optimism about what lies ahead.
According to her, God is capable of accomplishing things that we are unable to do, and he has already achieved it! Crystal then posted a picture of Ernest recovering in a medical facility, seated in a chair and connected to various machines, but seemingly at ease.
During Ernest's medical journey, Crystal has been asking for the assistance and prayers of fans who are worried about her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes how crucial prayer has been in Ernest's progress towards better health.

Loretta Lynn has endured the loss of two of her children, whom she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first was their oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was their oldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills, at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved immense success as a prominent figure in country music, holding the record for the highest number of awards received by a female country performer.
