Ernest, the son of Loretta Lynn, recently underwent surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns about the success of the procedure. However, on Monday (Jan. 29), Ernest's wife Crystal shared an update stating that he has started experiencing significant improvements in his health.
Crystal posted on Facebook that she cannot provide any logical reasoning for the situation other than attributing it to God. She expresses how one day they were unable to achieve a successful dialysis session for a total of three weeks, but the following day they were able to. Similarly, one day they were dealing with more severe circumstances, but the next day the situation had improved. Crystal highlights how uncertain they were about the future at one point, but now they have faith that the future holds promising prospects.
Crystal expresses that GOD is capable of accomplishing things that we, as humans, are unable to do. She further mentions that GOD has already achieved this feat. Crystal also includes a picture of Ernest recovering in a medical facility, sitting in a chair, connected to various machines, but seemingly at ease.
During the difficult time Ernest experienced with his medical condition, Crystal reached out to fans for their support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant impact that prayer had on Ernest's improvement in health.
She expresses her gratitude, acknowledging that none of these achievements would have been possible without the faith of the readers, the presence of their almighty God, and their prayers and support. She appreciates everyone for being a part of their support system and taking the time to pray for them. Furthermore, she thanks everyone for being a part of God's army and expresses eternal gratitude for their contributions.
She also mentions that Ernest is allowed to return home in order to recover after being in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn survived the passing of two of her children, who she had with her late husband Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first was their oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was their oldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills, at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved great success as one of the most accomplished artists in the country music genre. Lynn held the record for being the female country performer with the highest number of awards ever received.
