However, there is now some positive news as Ernest's wife, Crystal, shared that he has started experiencing significant improvements in his health as of Monday, January 29th.

She describes a sudden shift in circumstances, where one day they were unable to achieve successful dialysis for a period of three weeks, but the next day they were able to do so. Similarly, she mentions how they were facing more severe circumstances on one day, but the following day those circumstances seemed less grave. Additionally, while they were uncertain about what the future held at one point, they now feel optimistic and believe that the future holds promise.
Crystal expresses that God has the ability to accomplish things that we are unable to do, and she believes that He has indeed done it. The first was their oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second was her oldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their Hurricane Mills, Tennessee property.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved remarkable success as one of the leading artists in country music, earning her the title of the most honored female country performer in history.
