Ernest, the son of Loretta Lynn, recently underwent a surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns about the success of the procedure. However, there is now some positive news about his recovery. Ernest's wife, Crystal, shared an update on Monday (Jan. 29), stating that he has started experiencing significant improvements in his health.
Crystal expressed on Facebook that she cannot find any other explanation for the situation she is experiencing other than attributing it to a higher power, which she refers to as God. She mentions that one day, they were unable to have a successful dialysis treatment for a period of three weeks, but the following day they were able to. Similarly, one day they were confronted with more severe circumstances, but the next day those circumstances seemed to lessen. Crystal also mentions that one day they were uncertain about what lies ahead in the future, but the following day they gained confidence and believed that the future holds positive outcomes.
She continues to express that GOD is able to accomplish things that we are unable to do, and indeed, HE has accomplished it! Crystal also posted a picture of Ernest recovering in a chair at a medical facility, connected to various machines but otherwise resting comfortably.
During Ernest's medical journey, Crystal has reached out to fans who care about her husband's recovery, asking for their support and prayers. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant impact that prayer has had on Ernest's improvements in health.

Loretta Lynn has survived the loss of two of her children whom she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. Her eldest daughter, Betty Sue, passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. Additionally, her eldest son, Jack Benny, tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away at the age of 90 on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills. Throughout her life, she achieved remarkable success as an artist in the country music genre, earning her the title of the most recognized and honored female country performer in history.
