  • by

Luke Combs has taken a significant step towards the opening of his bar in downtown Nashville by unveiling its name: Category 10.

In a video message shared on his social media, the singer expresses his immense enthusiasm for a particular matter. The video was filmed backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, where Combs holds the status of an official Opry member. Additionally, he is collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his new bar.

As you are probably aware, hurricanes are classified on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the most severe. However, we decided to go beyond that and create a new category, Category 10.

"It's going to be an incredible country music venue. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer a wide range of food and drinks. Whatever you desire, we will have it available. It promises to be a fantastic time," he enthusiastically expressed. "I am eagerly anticipating the opening and cannot wait to see all of you there."

Although it was not mentioned in his social media announcement, the name Category 10 brings to mind Combs' first single, "Hurricane," which draws a comparison between the impact of unexpectedly encountering an ex and the destructive force of a natural disaster. Released in 2016, "Hurricane" marked Combs' first chart-topping success, initiating a remarkable streak of 17 consecutive number one hits on the country charts.

In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar located in Nashville. He is among a group of popular celebrities who have invested in a popular establishment in the downtown area. Category 10, Combs' bar, joins the ranks of other well-known artists such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and several others.
