Luke Combs has made progress towards the opening of his bar in downtown Nashville by revealing its name on Monday night. The establishment will be called Category 10.
In a video message shared on his social media, the singer expresses his immense enthusiasm. He recorded the message backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, where he is an official member. Additionally, he is partnering with the Opry Entertainment Group to open his own bar.
As you all are aware, hurricanes can reach a maximum strength of Category 5. However, we decided to go beyond that and create a new category called Category 10.
"It's going to be an incredible country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer a variety of food and drinks. Whatever you desire, we will have it. It's going to be a highly enjoyable experience," he expressed with excitement. "I am eagerly anticipating the opening of this establishment. I can't wait to see all of you there."
Although he didn't mention it in his social media announcement, the name Category 10 also brings to mind Combs' first single, "Hurricane." This song, released in 2016, draws a comparison between unexpectedly encountering an ex-partner and the devastating impact of a natural disaster. "Hurricane" not only marked Combs' first chart-topping success but also initiated a remarkable series of No. 1 hits. To this day, all 17 of Combs' official radio singles have reached the pinnacle of the country music charts.
In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar in Nashville. He is among a group of famous musicians who have lent their names to popular downtown establishments. The addition of Category 10 places him alongside renowned artists like Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and numerous others.
