Luke Combs has made progress in his plans to open a bar in downtown Nashville, as he recently disclosed the name of the establishment: Category 10.
In a video message shared on his social media, the singer expresses his immense enthusiasm for a particular event. He filmed the message backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, where he holds the status of an official Opry member. Additionally, he is collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his new bar.
As you may already be aware, hurricanes are classified on a scale of 1 to 5, with Category 5 being the most intense. However, we decided to go beyond that and create a new category called 10, which would be twice as powerful
"It's going to be an amazing country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, we'll have a wide variety of delicious food and drinks available. Whatever you're craving, we'll have it. This is going to be an incredibly enjoyable experience," he excitedly added. "I'm eagerly anticipating the grand opening. I can't wait to see all of you there."
Although he didn't mention it in his social media announcement, the name Category 10 is reminiscent of Combs' first single, "Hurricane." This song, released in 2016, likened the aftermath of unexpectedly encountering an ex to the destructive impact of a natural disaster. "Hurricane" not only became Combs' first song to reach the top of the charts but also marked the beginning of his remarkable streak of 17 consecutive No. 1 hits on the country charts.
In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar in Nashville. He is among the group of famous artists, such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and more, who have also lent their names to popular establishments in the downtown area. Combs' bar, Category 10, has now joined this illustrious list.
