Luke Combs has recently disclosed the name of his upcoming bar in downtown Nashville, bringing him closer to its grand opening. He revealed on Monday night (Jan. 29) that the establishment will be called Category 10.
In a video message shared on his social media, the singer expresses his immense enthusiasm. The video was recorded backstage at the renowned Grand Ole Opry. Combs, who is now an official member of the Opry, is additionally collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his very own bar.
As you are aware, hurricanes have a maximum strength of Category 5. However, we decided to go beyond that and create a new category called Category 10.
"It's going to be an amazing country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer a variety of food and drinks. Whatever you desire, we will have it available. It's going to be an incredibly enjoyable experience," he expressed. "I'm eagerly anticipating the opening of this venue. I can't wait to see all of you there."
Although he didn't mention it in his social media announcement, the name Category 10 also reminds us of Combs' first single, "Hurricane," which drew parallels between unexpectedly encountering an ex and the destructive force of a natural disaster. Released in 2016, "Hurricane" marked Combs' first chart-topping success and set the stage for his remarkable streak of 17 consecutive No. 1 hits on the country charts. This unprecedented achievement still persists today, as every official radio single released by Combs has reached the pinnacle of country music.
In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar in Nashville. He is among a group of famous artists who have their names associated with popular establishments in the downtown area. Category 10 is the latest addition to this list, which includes Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and numerous others.
