  • by

Luke Combs has taken a significant step towards the opening of his upcoming bar in downtown Nashville. During a recent event on Monday night (Jan. 29), he disclosed the name of his establishment, which will be called Category 10.

In a video message shared on his social media, the singer expresses his enthusiasm for an upcoming event. The video was filmed backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, where the singer is an official member. Additionally, he is collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to open a new bar.

As most of you are aware, the highest intensity a hurricane can reach is Category 5. Hence, we decided to take it a step further and label it as Category 10.

"We are going to have an amazing country music bar. It will be located in downtown Nashville and will offer a variety of food and drinks. Whatever you're looking for, we will have it. It's going to be a great time," he enthusiastically expressed. "I'm really excited for the grand opening and to see all of you there."

Although he didn't include it in his announcement on social media, the name Category 10 is reminiscent of Combs' first single, "Hurricane." This song, released in 2016, drew a comparison between the unexpected encounter with an ex and the destructive impact of a natural disaster. "Hurricane" marked Combs' first chart-topping success and initiated a remarkable series of No. 1 hits that still persists today. It is worth noting that all 17 of Combs' official radio singles have reached the pinnacle of the country charts.

Combs initially revealed information about his bar in Nashville in April 2023. He is among a group of famous musicians who have invested in popular establishments in the downtown area. With the opening of Category 10, Combs now joins the likes of Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and numerous other artists who have lent their names to local hot spots.
