Luke Combs has made progress in his plans to open a bar in downtown Nashville. During an announcement on Monday night (Jan. 29), he disclosed the name of the bar as Category 10.
The singer expressed his immense enthusiasm for a particular event in a video message shared on his social media. The video was recorded backstage at the Grand Ole Opry, where the singer is an esteemed member. Additionally, he is collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his very own bar.
As most of you are aware, hurricanes can reach a maximum strength of Category 5. However, we decided to surpass this limit and introduce a new level called Category 10.
"It's going to be an incredible country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer a variety of delicious food and a wide selection of drinks. Whatever you desire, we will have it available. It's going to be a truly enjoyable experience," he expressed. "I am eagerly anticipating the grand opening and looking forward to seeing all of you there."
Although he didn't mention it in his social media announcement, the name Category 10 also brings to mind Combs' first single, "Hurricane," which draws a comparison between unexpectedly encountering an ex and the destructive impact of a natural disaster. "Hurricane" was released in 2016 and marked Combs' first song to reach the top of the charts. This success initiated a remarkable streak for Combs, as all 17 of his official radio singles have since reached number one on the country music charts.
In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar in Nashville. He is among a group of famous artists, such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and more, who have also put their names on popular downtown establishments. With the opening of Category 10, Combs joins this elite group of celebrities.
