Luke Combs has made progress in his plans to open a bar in downtown Nashville. During the evening of January 29th, he shared the name of the bar, revealing it to be called Category 10.
In a video message shared on his social media, the singer expresses his immense enthusiasm. He recorded the message while backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. Combs is not only a recognized member of the Opry but also collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his new bar.
As most of you are aware, hurricanes have a maximum strength of Category 5. However, we thought it would be interesting to create a new category by doubling that strength, resulting in Category 10.
"It's going to be an amazing country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, it will offer a variety of food and drinks. Whatever you desire, we will provide it. The atmosphere will be filled with excitement and enjoyment," he enthusiastically shared. "I am eagerly anticipating the opening of this establishment. I can't wait to welcome all of you there."
Although he didn't explicitly state it on his social media announcement, the name Category 10 is reminiscent of Combs' initial song "Hurricane." This track, released in 2016, explores the likeness between unexpectedly encountering an ex and the destructive impact of a natural disaster. "Hurricane" not only marked Combs' first number one hit, but it also initiated a remarkable record of consecutive chart-topping singles. To this day, all 17 of Combs' official radio releases have reached the pinnacle of the country music charts.
In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar located in Nashville. He is among a group of famous artists, such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, and Dierks Bentley, who have also attached their names to popular establishments in the downtown area. Combs' bar, known as Category 10, adds to the list of these celebrity-owned hot spots.
