Luke Combs has made progress towards the opening of his bar in downtown Nashville. During the evening of January 29th, he revealed that the establishment will be called Category 10.
The singer expresses his enthusiasm in a video message shared on his social media. The message was recorded backstage at the Grand Ole Opry. Combs, who is a recognized member of the Opry, is additionally collaborating with the Opry Entertainment Group to launch his new bar.
As most of you are aware, the highest intensity a hurricane can reach is Category 5. However, we decided to surpass that and elevate it to an extraordinary level by referring to it as Category 10.
"It's going to be an amazing country music bar. Located in downtown Nashville, we'll have a wide selection of food and drinks available. Whatever you desire, we'll make sure to offer it. It's going to be a blast," he enthusiastically expressed. "I'm really excited for the opening of this place. I can't wait to see all of you there."
Although he didn't mention it in his social media announcement, the name Category 10 also brings to mind Combs' first song, "Hurricane," which explores the analogy between unexpectedly encountering an ex and the destructive force of a natural disaster. Released in 2016, "Hurricane" became Combs' first song to reach the top of the charts. This marked the beginning of a remarkable achievement for Combs, as all 17 of his official radio singles since then have reached the number one spot on the country charts.
In April 2023, Combs revealed information about his bar located in Nashville. He is among a group of famous musicians who have their names associated with popular establishments in the downtown area. The addition of Category 10 places him alongside artists such as Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, and many more.
