Reba McEntire Returns to TV: Reuniting with ‘Reba’ Team for New Sitcom

Country music icon Reba McEntire is making a return to television.

Following her recent stint as a coach on the popular TV show The Voice, McEntire is collaborating once more with NBC for a new comedy pilot that has not yet been given a title. This pilot will be filmed using multiple cameras.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the show focuses on the main character played by McEntire. She unexpectedly becomes the owner of her late father's restaurant and is not particularly happy about it when she finds out that she now has to share the business with her previously unknown half-sister.

McEntire and Kevin Abbott, an experienced showrunner known for his work on Last Man Standing, Roseanne, and The Golden Girls, will come together again for a collaboration.

According to reports, Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis, who previously worked as executive producers on the show Reba, will be joining Reba McEntire on her upcoming comedy series on NBC.

NBC has decided to greenlight its first pilot for the year 2024, which is significant considering the recent conclusion of the strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation
