Do you recall Morgan Wallen's audition on 'The Voice'? You may remember that in 2014, Wallen was a country boy with long hair who worked as a landscaper. However, his life took a significant turn when he decided to audition for the show.
Wallen made his way onto the stage dressed in a gray button-up shirt, a black jacket, and a black tie, which was quite a departure from his usual appearance that his fans are familiar with. He decided to perform a rendition of Howie Day's "Collide," a choice that complemented his deep and rough voice exceptionally well.
Shakira swiftly rotated her chair, however, it took a while for the other coaches to press their red button. Eventually, Usher decided to join in by pressing his button, but Blake Shelton and Adam Levine chose not to take a risk on Wallen.
Usher and Shakira expressed their admiration for the distinctive quality of his voice, emphasizing that there was no other voice similar to his on the show or in the music industry. Following their persuasive arguments, Wallen ultimately chose Usher as his coach.
After the second round, the singer of the song "Everything I Love" was taken from Team Usher and joined Team Adam to continue competing. He managed to reach the playoffs but was eventually eliminated.
He explained to Billboard that there are certain aspects of life that we cannot control. However, he emphasized that striving to be the best version of oneself is within our control. He admitted that he didn't feel satisfied with his performance and believed he could have done better. As a result, he decided to put in more effort and practice even harder.
Looking ahead to the present, Wallen has become a prominent figure in the country music scene. Currently, he is busy working on his fourth studio album and making arrangements for the 2024 segment of his One Night at a Time Tour, which will continue from April onwards.
