Do you recall Morgan Wallen's audition on 'The Voice'? You see, back in 2014, Morgan Wallen was a country boy with long hair and worked as a landscaper. However, everything took a turn when he decided to try out for The Voice.
Wallen made his way onto the stage, dressed in a combination of a gray button-up shirt, a black jacket, and a black tie. This attire was quite different from his usual style that his fans are accustomed to seeing nowadays. For his performance, he opted to sing "Collide" by Howie Day, a song that suited his deep and rough voice flawlessly.
Shakira quickly swiveled her chair around, but it took a while for the other coaches to press their red button. Eventually, Usher decided to join in by hitting his button, however, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine chose not to take a risk on Wallen.
Usher and Shakira praised the distinctiveness of his voice, emphasizing that it was unmatched both on the show and in the music industry. Following their persuasive arguments, Wallen ultimately chose Usher as his coach.
After the second round, the singer known for his song "Everything I Love" was taken from Team Usher and moved to Team Adam to continue his journey. He managed to reach the playoffs but was eventually eliminated.
In an interview with Billboard, he discussed his elimination and acknowledged that certain aspects of life are beyond one's control. However, he emphasized that striving to be the best version of oneself is within one's power. He admitted that he didn't believe he had performed at his maximum potential and therefore committed to practicing more diligently.
Looking ahead to the present, Wallen has become a prominent figure in the country music industry. Currently, he is diligently working on his fourth studio album and simultaneously getting ready for the 2024 portion of his One Night at a Time Tour, set to recommence in April.
