Lainey Wilson Joins Coors Light for a Chilly Super Bowl Commercial Cameo

  • by

Lainey Wilson, a popular country music artist, had a very busy year in 2023 and it seems like she will continue to maintain a packed schedule in the upcoming year. She has already confirmed her participation in several events and shows for 2024, and one of them is a cameo appearance in a Super Bowl commercial.

Billboard reports that Wilson is set to appear briefly in a commercial for Coors Light, which aims to promote the comeback of their Coors Light Chill Train. The advertisement will feature a new CGI virtual seat booking feature for fans to engage with and enjoy.

In the wintry-themed advertisement, Wilson will be depicted in the midst of a photo shoot when she is suddenly passed by the "Chill Train." The scene will portray a cold and snowy environment, featuring Wilson wearing an icy blue fringe jacket and holding a can of Coors Light. However, contrary to the wintry setting, the country superstar actually filmed her scene for the advertisement in the sunny city of Los Angeles.

"I had a photo session with my reliable old guitar and a horse that Coors Light provided for me. We had some amazing makeup effects that made us look frosty, and we even had fake snow applied to my hair and eyelashes," recalls the country singer. "I had the opportunity to do something completely new and express my creativity in various ways, which is always enjoyable for me."

Wilson, who is in a romantic relationship with Devlin "Duck" Hodges, a former NFL quarterback, will have the opportunity to attend the Super Bowl in person this year. She will be present in Las Vegas to witness the exciting game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wilson agrees that while she is enthusiastic about watching the game, she is equally thrilled about the halftime show.

"I am thrilled to watch Usher perform and I am also excited about the game. This will be my second time attending the Super Bowl, and whenever you receive an invitation to go, you should definitely seize the opportunity," expresses the singer. "It is a rare and extraordinary experience, and I am fortunate to be going with my friends and fellow artists. It will be a festive occasion."

While she didn't explicitly express her strong support for any particular team, Wilson appears to be optimistic about the Chiefs, the current Super Bowl champions, securing another victory.

Wilson mentioned that he had the opportunity to meet both Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Chiefs, and Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Chiefs. They attended one of his shows last summer and Wilson had positive things to say about them, considering them to be wonderful individuals. He further added that if he had to support a team or individuals, it would likely be them.

Naturally, everyone is focusing their attention on Kelce as he prepares for the Super Bowl. This is not only due to his reputation as one of the NFL's most influential athletes, but also because of his relationship with pop sensation, Taylor Swift.

Swift has been going to Chiefs games this year whenever she has free time from her touring schedule. Fans are excited and hopeful to see her at the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Feb. 11. Before the Super Bowl, Swift's Eras Tour will continue with a show in Tokyo, Japan on Feb. 10. However, it is possible that she will be able to make it back to Las Vegas in time to watch the game thanks to the time difference.

After a major victory in the AFC Championship, Taylor Swift shares a kiss with Travis Kelce. Get more updates from Taste of Country. Follow us for the latest information.
