Lainey Wilson Joins Coors Light for a Super Bowl Commercial and Talks Excitement for the Game and Halftime Show

  • by

Lainey Wilson, a popular country music artist, had a very busy year in 2023 and it seems like she won't be taking a break as she enters the new year. She has already been scheduled for numerous appearances in 2024, including an opportunity to appear in a Super Bowl commercial.

Billboard reports that Wilson is set to appear in a Coors Light advertisement that aims to promote the comeback of the Coors Light Chill Train. The commercial will include a unique feature where fans can virtually book their seats using CGI technology.

In Wilson's advertisement with a winter theme, she will be depicted during a photo shoot when suddenly the "Chill Train" rushes past her. The scene will have a cold atmosphere, featuring strong gusts of snow, a jacket with an icy blue trim, and, naturally, a refreshing can of Coors Light. However, the country music sensation actually filmed her part for the ad in sunny Los Angeles.

"I had a photo shoot where I posed with my reliable old guitar and a horse that Coors Light provided for me. The shoot involved applying cool frosted makeup effects and adding fake snow to my hair and eyelashes," the famous country singer recalls. "It was a unique experience for me, allowing me to explore my creativity in new and exciting ways, which I always enjoy."

Wilson, who is in a relationship with former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges, has the opportunity to witness the Super Bowl live this year. She will be present in Las Vegas to witness the exciting matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wilson acknowledges that while she is looking forward to watching the game, she is equally enthusiastic about the halftime show.

"I am thrilled to be able to witness Usher perform and I am also looking forward to the game. This is only my second time attending the Super Bowl, so whenever I receive an invitation, I make sure to accept it. It's a unique opportunity that only happens once in a lifetime, and I am fortunate to be going with my friends and other artists. It's going to be an amazing celebration."

While not explicitly expressing her strong endorsement for any specific team, Wilson appears to be anticipating a successful back-to-back victory for the Chiefs, the current Super Bowl champions.

Wilson states that he had the opportunity to meet Travis Kelce, who is the tight end for the Chiefs, and Patrick Mahomes, who is the quarterback for the Chiefs. They attended one of Wilson's shows last summer and he describes them as wonderful individuals. Therefore, if he had to support and cheer for someone, it would probably be Kelce and Mahomes.

Naturally, everyone is focused on Kelce as he enters the Super Bowl, not just because he is regarded as one of the NFL's strongest athletes, but also because of his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift, a popular pop singer.

Swift has been going to Chiefs games this season whenever she can fit it into her tour schedule, and many fans are eager to see her at the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Feb. 11. Swift's Eras Tour will continue earlier that same week with a show in Tokyo, Japan on Feb. 10. However, there is a chance that she will be able to return to Las Vegas in time to watch the Super Bowl due to the time difference.

After a major victory in the AFC Championship, Taylor Swift shares a kiss with Travis Kelce. Stay updated with Taste of Country for more news and updates.
