Lainey Wilson Joins Coors Light in Super Bowl Commercial, Reveals Excitement for Halftime Show and Predicts Best Team to Win

  • by

Lainey Wilson, a popular country music artist, had a jam-packed schedule in 2023 and shows no signs of slowing down as she enters the new year. She has already secured numerous commitments for 2024, one of which includes appearing in a commercial during the Super Bowl.

As reported by Billboard, Wilson is set to appear in a Coors Light advertisement that promotes the comeback of the Coors Light Chill Train. This time, the commercial will feature a computer-generated virtual seat booking feature for fans to experience.

In the wintry-themed ad, Wilson will be depicted in the midst of a photo shoot when suddenly the "Chill Train" rushes by. The scene will be filled with snow, she will be wearing an icy blue fringe jacket, and there will be a Coors Light can to emphasize the coldness. However, despite the wintry setting, the country superstar actually filmed her scene for the ad in sunny Los Angeles.

"I had a photo shoot where I posed with my reliable guitar and a horse that Coors Light provided for me. It was a unique experience as we incorporated frosty makeup effects and simulated snow in my hair and eyelashes," the country singer recalls. "I had the opportunity to venture into new creative avenues, which is always enjoyable for me."

Wilson, who is in a relationship with former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges, has plans to personally attend the Super Bowl this year. She will witness the exciting showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, which will take place in Las Vegas.

Wilson acknowledges that while she is enthusiastic about watching the game, she is equally excited for the halftime show.

"I am thrilled to be attending the Super Bowl and also looking forward to seeing Usher perform. This is only my second time going to the Super Bowl, so it's a special opportunity. Whenever you receive an invitation to attend such a prestigious event, you seize the chance. It's an experience that only happens once in a lifetime, and I am fortunate to be going with my friends and other artists. It's going to be a fantastic celebration."

Without explicitly endorsing any specific team, Wilson appears to be inclined towards the Chiefs, the current Super Bowl champions, and desires a consecutive victory for them.

Wilson mentioned that he had the opportunity to meet Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, who are both players for the Chiefs. They attended one of his shows last summer and he had a positive impression of them, describing them as wonderful individuals. Therefore, if he had to choose someone to support, it would likely be them.

Naturally, everyone is paying attention to Kelce as he prepares for the Super Bowl. This is not only due to his reputation as one of the NFL's influential athletes, but also because of his relationship with Taylor Swift, who is a popular pop singer.

Swift has been going to Chiefs games this season whenever she can fit it into her touring schedule. Fans are eager to see her at the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Feb. 11. The Eras Tour, in which Swift is performing, will continue earlier that week with a show in Tokyo, Japan on Feb. 10. Despite this, there is a chance that she will make it back to Las Vegas in time to watch the Super Bowl because of the time difference.
