Lainey Wilson, a popular country music artist, had a busy year in 2023, and she shows no signs of slowing down as she enters the new year. She has already been scheduled for several events in 2024, and one of them includes appearing in a commercial during the Super Bowl.
Billboard reports that Wilson is set to appear in a Coors Light advertisement, which aims to promote the comeback of the Coors Light Chill Train. This time, the commercial will feature a virtual booking feature that allows fans to experience the train ride through CGI technology.
In Wilson's advertisement with a winter theme, she will be depicted in the midst of a photo shoot when suddenly the "Chill Train" rushes by her. The scene will be cold and snowy, with Wilson wearing a frosty blue jacket and holding a can of Coors Light. However, despite the wintry setting, the country superstar actually filmed her scene for the advertisement in sunny Los Angeles.
"I had a photo shoot where I posed with my reliable old guitar and a horse that Coors Light provided for me. We had some amazing makeup effects that made us look frosty, and we even had fake snow in my hair and eyelashes," recalls the country singer. "I had the opportunity to try something new and be creative in unique ways, which is always enjoyable for me."
Wilson, who is in a relationship with former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges, has the opportunity to witness the Super Bowl live this year. She will be present in Las Vegas to witness the intense showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Wilson acknowledges that she is equally enthusiastic about both watching the game and the halftime show.
"I'm really looking forward to seeing Usher perform, and I'm also excited for the game. This is only the second time I've had the opportunity to attend the Super Bowl, so whenever you receive an invitation to go, you definitely take it," expresses the singer. "It's a unique experience that only happens once in a lifetime, and I'm fortunate to be able to attend with some of my friends and fellow artists. It's going to be a fantastic celebration."
While she didn't openly declare her allegiance to a specific team, Wilson appears to be rooting for the Chiefs, the current Super Bowl champions, to secure another victory.
Wilson mentioned that he had the opportunity to meet Travis Kelce, who is a tight end for the Chiefs, and Patrick Mahomes, who is the quarterback for the Chiefs. They attended one of Wilson's shows last summer, and Wilson describes them as being genuinely wonderful individuals. Hence, if Wilson had to support and cheer for someone, it would likely be Kelce and Mahomes.
Naturally, everyone's attention is focused on Kelce as the Super Bowl approaches. This is not only due to his reputation as one of the most influential players in the NFL, but also because of his romantic relationship with Taylor Swift, a popular pop singer.
Swift has been going to Chiefs games this season whenever she can fit it into her touring schedule. Fans are eager to see her at the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Feb. 11. Swift's Eras Tour will continue earlier that week with a concert in Tokyo, Japan on Feb. 10. However, there is a chance that she may return to Las Vegas in time to watch the big game because of the time difference.
