Lainey Wilson, a popular country music artist, had an eventful year in 2023 and shows no signs of slowing down as she enters the new year. She has already secured numerous commitments for 2024, including an appearance in a Super Bowl commercial.
Billboard reports that Wilson is set to appear briefly in a Coors Light advertisement that aims to promote the comeback of Coors Light Chill Train. This time, the commercial will include a computer-generated imagery (CGI) feature that allows fans to virtually reserve their seats and have an enjoyable experience.
Wilson's part in the advertisement with a winter theme will feature her during a photoshoot when the "Chill Train" swiftly passes by her. The scene will depict a cold atmosphere with strong gusts of snow, a jacket with an icy blue trim, and, naturally, a cold Coors Light can. However, the popular country singer actually filmed her scene for the advertisement in the sunny city of Los Angeles.
"I recently had a photo shoot where I was accompanied by my reliable old guitar and a horse that was provided to me by Coors Light. It was a really interesting experience as we had some amazing makeup effects that made it look like frost, and we even had fake snow applied to my hair and eyelashes," recalls the famous country singer. "During this shoot, I had the opportunity to try something new and express my creativity in various ways, which is always enjoyable for me."
Wilson, who is in a relationship with former NFL quarterback Devlin "Duck" Hodges, has the opportunity to witness the Super Bowl live this year. She will be present at the clash between the San Francisco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs, which is taking place in Las Vegas.
Wilson acknowledges that while she is enthusiastic about watching the game, she is equally thrilled for the halftime show.
"I am thrilled to be able to see Usher and I am also looking forward to the game. This is only my second time attending the Super Bowl, so it is a really special opportunity. Whenever you receive an invitation to go to the Super Bowl, you definitely take it. It's a unique experience that only happens once in a lifetime, and I am fortunate to be going with my friends and other artists. It's going to be a fantastic celebration."
While not fully endorsing any specific team, Wilson appears to be optimistic about the Chiefs, the current Super Bowl champions, securing another victory.
Wilson mentions that he had the opportunity to meet Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, who are both players for the Chiefs. They attended one of his shows last summer and Wilson describes them as wonderful individuals. Therefore, if he had to support or cheer for someone, it would probably be them.
Naturally, everyone is paying close attention to Kelce as he enters the Super Bowl. This is not only due to his reputation as one of the NFL's most dominant players, but also because he is dating Taylor Swift, a popular pop singer.
This year, Swift has been going to Chiefs games whenever she can fit them into her touring schedule. Fans are excited and hopeful to see her at the Super Bowl, which is scheduled for Feb. 11. Just before the Super Bowl, Swift's Eras Tour continues with a show in Tokyo, Japan on Feb. 10. However, there is a chance that she might be back in Las Vegas in time to watch the big game because of the time difference.
