Ernest, the son of Loretta Lynn, received positive news regarding his recovery after undergoing a life-saving surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initial indications were not promising, but Ernest's wife, Crystal, reported on Monday (Jan. 29) that he has begun experiencing significant improvements in his health.
Crystal expresses on Facebook that she is unable to provide any logical explanation for the situation she is experiencing, attributing it to a higher power, God. She remarks that there was a day when they were unable to achieve a successful dialysis treatment for three weeks, but suddenly the next day they were able to. Similarly, she mentions that there was a day when they were facing more severe circumstances, but the following day those circumstances seemed less dire. Crystal also notes that there was a day when they were unsure about what the future held, but suddenly they gained confidence and optimism about a bright future.
Crystal expresses that GOD is capable of doing things that we as humans are unable to do, and she believes that GOD has indeed accomplished it. Additionally, Crystal shares a picture of Ernest in a medical facility, sitting in a chair and connected to machines, but seemingly at ease and recovering well.
During Ernest's medical journey, Crystal has reached out to fans, asking for their support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant impact that prayer has had on Ernest's improved health.
The author acknowledges that none of their achievements would have been possible without the faith, prayers, and support of the readers. They express their gratitude for everyone's involvement in their support system, for taking the time to pray for them, and for being a part of God's army. They emphasize that they are eternally thankful for all of these contributions.
She also mentions that Ernest has the opportunity to return to his home in order to recover after his time in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn survived the passing of two of her children, who she had with her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first one was their oldest daughter Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second one was their oldest son Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on their property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved remarkable success as an artist in the country music genre, making her the most decorated female country performer in history.
