Ernest, the son of Loretta Lynn, recently underwent a life-saving surgery to treat his kidney failure. Initially, there were concerns about the outcome of the surgery. However, his wife Crystal provided an update on Monday (Jan. 29) stating that Ernest has started experiencing significant improvements in his health.
Crystal shares on Facebook that she cannot find any logical reason for what has happened, except for attributing it to a higher power, God. She describes how one day they were unable to achieve a successful dialysis procedure for three consecutive weeks, but the following day they were able to. Similarly, one day they were facing more severe circumstances, but the next day those circumstances seemed less dire. Crystal also mentions that one day they were uncertain about what the future held, but the following day they felt confident that the future would be positive.
Crystal asserts that God has the ability to accomplish things that we are unable to achieve, and she claims that He has already done so. She also posted a picture of Ernest recovering in what seems to be a medical facility, sitting in a chair, connected to medical devices, but otherwise appearing at ease.
During the time Ernest was going through his medical difficulties, Crystal reached out to fans for their support and prayers for her husband's recovery. In her most recent update, she emphasizes the significant impact that prayer had on Ernest's improvements in health.
She expresses her gratitude, acknowledging that none of these achievements would have been possible without the faith of the readers, the support from their almighty God, and the prayers they received. She extends her thanks to everyone who has been a part of their support system, showing appreciation for the time and effort taken to pray for them. Lastly, she expresses immense gratitude for being a part of God's army and states that they will be eternally grateful.
She also mentions that Ernest is allowed to return home for his recovery after his time in the hospital.
Loretta Lynn has survived two of her children who were born to her late husband, Oliver "Doolittle" Lynn. The first child is their daughter named Betty Sue, who passed away in 2013 due to complications from emphysema. The second child is their son named Jack Benny, who tragically drowned in 1984 while trying to cross a river on the family's property in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
Lynn passed away on October 4, 2022, at her residence in Hurricane Mills at the age of 90. Throughout her life, she achieved great success as a prominent figure in the country music industry, earning the title of the most decorated female country artist in history.
