Do you recall Morgan Wallen's audition on 'The Voice'? Back in 2014, Wallen was a country boy with long hair who worked as a landscaper. However, everything took a turn when he decided to try out for the show.
Wallen made his way onto the stage, sporting a gray button-up shirt, a black jacket, and a black tie. This ensemble was quite different from his usual style that his fans have grown accustomed to. Opting for a change, he decided to perform "Collide" by Howie Day, a song that complemented his deep and rough vocal tone flawlessly.
Shakira quickly spun her chair around, however, it took a while before any of the other coaches decided to press their red button. Eventually, Usher decided to take a chance and pressed his button, but both Blake Shelton and Adam Levine chose not to take a chance on Wallen.
Both Usher and Shakira highly praised the distinctiveness of his voice, expressing that there was no other voice similar to his on the show or in the music industry. Following their impassioned appeals, Wallen ultimately chose Usher to be his coach.
The singer who performed "Everything I Love" was taken from Team Usher and joined Team Adam in the next stage of the competition. He managed to advance to the playoffs but was eventually eliminated.
In an interview with Billboard, he shared that there are certain aspects in life that are beyond our control. However, he emphasized that striving to be the best version of oneself is within our power. He acknowledged that he didn't feel satisfied with his performance and believed that he could have done better. As a result, he dedicated himself to practicing even harder.
Looking ahead to the present, Wallen has established himself as a prominent figure in the country music industry. Currently, he is actively involved in the production of his fourth studio album and is also getting ready for the 2024 portion of his One Night at a Time Tour, which will recommence in April.
