There have been six haunting final concerts by notable artists such as Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, and Daryle Singletary. George Jones was aware that his last concert would be his final performance. On the other hand, Daryle Singletary was unaware that his last show would be his farewell. However, this lack of awareness adds to the eerie atmosphere when considering the song he selected to conclude the night.
Following the passing of Merle Haggard, there circulated a compelling narrative claiming that Toby Keith had assisted him in gracefully exiting the stage during his last performance, preserving his dignity. However, this account turned out to be false. Toby Keith was not present at the Hag's final show, and neither was the individual responsible for deceiving us into believing otherwise.
In fact, the individual named W. Earl Brown, who is an actor, was not physically present at the event where Keith genuinely assisted Haggard in completing the task. He merely became aware of it through word of mouth.

Taste of Country uncovered a review of Haggard's last performance, revealing a touching moment that deserves just as much recognition as the Toby Keith hero tale. This heartwarming scene is one of six lasting memories from the final concert, which are shared in the video above (and in the pictures below).
This video features the last performance of John Denver, the final song of Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings' made-for-TV farewell. It is a poignant compilation of these bittersweet moments.
We absolutely love the Singletary performance. If you are already familiar with Johnny Paycheck's song "Old Violin," then you know exactly what we are talking about. However, if you're not familiar with it yet, we highly recommend that you continue watching because it is truly something special.
