There have been six haunting final concerts that left a lasting impact on the music industry. Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Daryle Singletary, and others had unforgettable performances before bidding farewell. George Jones was aware that his last concert was approaching, while Daryle Singletary was unaware, which adds an extra level of eeriness to the song he decided to conclude his show with.
Following the passing of Merle Haggard, there circulated a compelling tale of Toby Keith assisting him in gracefully exiting the spotlight. However, this account turned out to be false. Contrary to what was believed, Keith did not attend the Hag's last performance, and neither did the individual responsible for deceiving us into thinking otherwise.
In fact, the individual in question, actor W. Earl Brown, did not personally witness the event where Keith assisted Haggard. Brown had only heard about it from others.

Taste of Country uncovered a review of what turned out to be Haggard's last performance and found a special moment that deserves just as much recognition as the Toby Keith hero story. This is one of six memories from his final concert, which can be seen in the video above (and in pictures below).
Included in this poignant video are the last performance of John Denver, the final song by Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings' made-for-TV farewell.
We absolutely love the Singletary performance. If you have listened to Johnny Paycheck's song "Old Violin," you will understand the significance of where he left it. However, if you are not familiar with the song, continue watching because it is worth your attention.
