Chris Young Opens Up About Injuries Sustained During Police Run-In

  • by

Chris Young displayed the injuries he sustained during a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prior to his recent arrest. The injuries were visibly distressing and matched the severity of the incident.

The singer shared with his fans the bruises he got on Tuesday (Jan. 30), which were caused by an officer who forcefully pushed him backwards. As a result, he lost his balance and fell over the edge of a bar, resulting in two noticeable bruises. One bruise is located on the inner part of his arm, while the other is on his lower back.

In his post, Young shares a photo and expresses his discomfort with how close something is to his spine. He sets the post to a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song by the British rock group the Police from 1980.

Many fans expressed sympathy for Young's experience in the comments section of his post, while there were also individuals who defended the actions of the officers.

A commenter is questioning the acceptability of the actions being done by them, suggesting that by suing them, it can contribute to preventing similar situations from occurring to others.

One person expresses their opinion that it is not right to interfere with someone's employment. They state that they cannot sympathize with the person in question. Nonetheless, they still enjoy the individual's music.

Earlier this month, the popular actor from "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody at a bar in Nashville called the Dawg House. The charges against them included disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a law enforcement officer.

However, the video recordings of the occurrence, captured by security cameras as well as other customers at the bar, present a contrasting narrative: Young seemed respectful and compliant with the officers as they apprehended him. He only made minimal contact with one of the officers before the individual forcefully pushed him backward, causing him to fall over a bar.

The singer's charges were dismissed, and Young confidently responded to the individuals who criticized his decision to engage with the officer.

Young has been exonerated of all charges, meaning that legally, the incident is now in the past for him. It is expected that he will resume his activities in promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, set to be released on March 22.
