Chris Young Opens Up About Painful Injuries From Police Altercation

  • by

Chris Young displays his injuries from an altercation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prior to his recent arrest. The encounter was just as physically distressing as it appeared.

The singer shared images with his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) displaying the bruises he got from being pushed by a police officer. This push caused him to lose his balance and fall, hitting the corner of a bar. The injuries he sustained consist of two noticeable bruises: one on the inner side of his arm and another on his lower back.

Young expresses in his post that the photo is extremely close to his spine. He shares the post along with a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song from the Police, a British rock group in the 1980s.

After Young's post, numerous fans expressed sympathy towards his experience in the comments section, while there were also individuals who defended the actions of the officers.

One person commenting questions the justification of their actions, stating that by taking legal action against them, it serves as a deterrent to prevent similar incidents from happening to others.

One person expresses their opinion that it is not worth trying to prevent someone from doing their job, and they do not feel any sympathy towards the person. However, they still enjoy the person's music.

Earlier this month, the actor from the TV show "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody after being involved in an incident at the Dawg House bar in Nashville. He was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.

However, when reviewing the video footage of the incident, which was captured by security cameras and other bar patrons, it becomes evident that the situation unfolded quite differently. The footage shows that Young was respectful and compliant with the officers during his arrest. It appears that he only lightly touched one of the officers before the officer forcefully shoved him backwards and over a bar.

The charges against the singer were dismissed, and afterwards, Young confidently responded to the "trolls" who believed he was wrong to have approached the officer.

Now that all accusations against Young have been dropped, he can put the incident behind him from a legal perspective. It is expected that he will resume his efforts to promote his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, set to be released on March 22.
