Chris Young Opens Up About Painful Injuries from Police Confrontation

  • by

Chris Young displays the injuries he sustained during a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prior to his recent arrest. The physical pain he experienced was evident in the pictures.

The singer shared with his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he got from being forcefully pushed by a police officer. This caused him to lose his balance and fall over the edge of a bar, resulting in two noticeable bruises. One bruise is located on the inside of his arm, while the other can be found on his lower back.

Young expresses in his post that the object in the photo is uncomfortably close to his spine. He accompanies his post with a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song by the British rock group The Police released in 1980.

After reading Young's post, several fans expressed empathy towards his experience, whereas some individuals defended the actions taken by the officers.

A commenter questions the acceptability of allowing them to continue doing this and suggests that by taking legal action, one can contribute to preventing such incidents from occurring to others.

One person expresses their opinion by saying that they don't believe in interfering with someone's job and they cannot sympathize with the person. However, they also mention that they still enjoy the person's music.

Earlier this month, the actor known for his role in "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was apprehended for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a law enforcement officer at a bar in Nashville called the Dawg House.

However, the video evidence of the event, captured by security cameras and other customers at the bar, presents a contrasting narrative. In the footage, Young can be seen behaving respectfully and cooperating with the officers during his arrest. It appears that he only lightly touched one of the officers before being forcefully pushed backward and over a bar by the same officer.

The charges against the singer were dismissed, and afterwards, Young confidently responded to the individuals who criticized his actions of engaging with the officer.

Now that all the accusations against Young have been dropped, he is no longer legally involved in the incident. He will probably go back to focusing on promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
