Chris Young displayed his injuries from a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC), which occurred before his recent arrest. The injuries were just as painful as they appeared.
The singer revealed to his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he got when a police officer forcefully pushed him, resulting in him tripping and falling into the edge of a bar. These injuries consist of two significant and discolored bruises: one on the inner part of his arm and another on his lower back.
In his post, Young expresses that the object in the photo is uncomfortably near his spine. He accompanies his statement with a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song by the British rock band, the Police, to emphasize his point.
After reading Young's post, numerous fans expressed empathy towards his experience in the comments section. However, there were also individuals who defended the actions of the officers.
A commenter questions the acceptability of the actions of the party being sued, as they believe that taking legal action can help prevent similar incidents from occurring to others.
One person expresses their opinion by suggesting not to interfere with someone's job and states that they cannot sympathize with the individual. Despite this, they still express their appreciation for the person's music.
Earlier this month, the actor known for his role in "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody at a bar called the Dawg House in Nashville. He was arrested on multiple charges including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
However, when reviewing the video evidence of the incident, it becomes evident that the situation unfolded differently than initially described. The footage, captured by security cameras and other customers in the bar, illustrates that Young displayed respectful and compliant behavior towards the officers throughout his arrest. Moreover, it appears that he merely made minimal contact with one of the officers, after which the officer forcefully pushed him backward, causing him to fall over a nearby bar.
The charges against the singer were dismissed, and Young then confidently showed off his superiority to the individuals who believed he shouldn't have made contact with the officer in the first place.
Since all charges against Young have been dropped, the incident is no longer a legal concern for him. He will probably resume his efforts in promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, scheduled to be released on March 22.
