Chris Young displayed the injuries he sustained during a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prior to his recent arrest. The physical pain he experienced was evident and matched the severity captured in the picture.
The singer shared with his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he got when a police officer forcefully pushed him, resulting in him stumbling and falling into the corner of a bar. These injuries consist of two noticeable bruises: one located on the inner side of his arm and the other on his lower back.
In his post, Young expresses that the photo was way too close to his spine. He shares the photo along with a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song from the British rock band, the Police, released in 1980.
Many fans expressed sympathy towards Young and his experience in the comments section of his post, while there were also individuals who defended the actions of the officers.
One individual expresses their belief that by taking legal action against the responsible party, it can contribute to avoiding similar incidents from occurring in the future. They question the acceptability of the actions taken by the party in question.
One person expresses their opinion by saying that they should not interfere with someone's job and they do not feel sympathy towards them. However, they still enjoy the individual's music.
Earlier this month, the actor known for their role in "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer at a bar called the Dawg House in Nashville.
However, the video evidence of the situation, captured by security cameras and fellow bar-goers, presents a contrasting account. The footage depicts Young being respectful and cooperative with the officers upon his arrest, with minimal contact made as he lightly tapped one of the officers. Despite this, one of the officers responded by forcefully pushing Young backwards and causing him to fall over a bar.
The accusations against the singer were dismissed, and afterwards, Young confidently responded to those who criticized his decision to make physical contact with the officer.
After all the charges against Young have been dropped, he is no longer legally responsible for the incident. It is expected that he will resume his promotional activities for his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, which is scheduled to be released on March 22.
