Chris Young has revealed the injuries he sustained during a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) before his recent arrest. The injuries were just as painful as they appeared.
The singer revealed to his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he received from an incident where an officer forcefully pushed him, causing him to lose balance and trip over the edge of a bar. The injuries consist of two noticeable and discolored bruises: one on the inner part of his arm and another on his lower back.
Young expresses his discomfort with the proximity of something to his spine in his post, along with sharing a photo. He accompanies his post with a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song from the British rock band the Police released in 1980.
After Young shared his post, a number of fans expressed empathy towards his experience in the comments section. However, there were also some fans who defended the actions of the officers.
A commenter expresses their concern about the situation, questioning why it is acceptable for the party in question to engage in such behavior when taking legal action can help prevent it from happening to others.
Someone expresses their opinion by saying that they do not think someone's job should be interfered with, and they cannot sympathize with them. Despite this, they still enjoy the person's music.
Earlier this month, the actor from "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody at a bar called the Dawg House in Nashville. The charges against him include disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
However, the video evidence of the incident contradicts the initial account. Recordings from security cameras and fellow bar patrons reveal a contrasting narrative: Young demonstrated respectful behavior and cooperation towards the officers during his arrest. He only made minimal contact with one of the officers before being forcefully pushed backwards and over a bar.
The accusations against the singer were dismissed, and Young then proudly responded to the individuals who criticized him for making contact with the officer in the first place.
After having all charges against him dropped, Young can now put the incident behind him from a legal standpoint. He will probably resume his promotional activities for his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, scheduled to be released on March 22.
