Chris Young displayed the injuries he sustained during a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prior to his recent arrest. The physical pain he experienced in the incident was evident.
The singer shared with his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he received when a police officer pushed him, resulting in him losing his balance and falling into a bar's corner. The injuries consist of two noticeable bruises: one on the inner part of his arm and another on his lower back.
In his post, Young expresses that the photo is extremely close to his spine. He includes a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song by the British rock band The Police.
When people commented on his post, a lot of fans showed sympathy towards Young's situation, but there were also some who supported the actions of the officers.
One person commenting expresses their belief that by taking legal action against the responsible party, you are playing a role in preventing similar incidents from happening to others. They question how it is acceptable for the responsible party to engage in such behavior
One person expresses their opinion by saying that we shouldn't interfere with someone else's job and they can't sympathize with the person. However, they still enjoy the person's music.
Earlier this month, the actor from "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody at a bar in Nashville called the Dawg House. The charges against him include disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
However, the video evidence of the event, captured by security cameras and other bar patrons, paints a contrasting picture. In the footage, Young can be seen behaving respectfully and compliantly towards the officers during his arrest. He merely made a slight contact with one of the officers before being forcefully pushed backwards and over a bar.
The accusations against the singer were dismissed, and Young then confidently showed off to the individuals who believed he should not have made physical contact with the officer in the first place.
Now that all charges against Young have been dropped, he can put the incident behind him from a legal standpoint. He will probably resume his efforts to promote his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, set to be released on March 22nd.
