Chris Young displayed the injuries he sustained during an encounter with Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) officers prior to his recent apprehension. The physical harm he endured was just as excruciating as it appeared.
The singer revealed to his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he received when a police officer forcefully pushed him, resulting in him losing balance and tripping over the edge of a bar. These injuries consist of two noticeable and discolored bruises: one on the inner side of his arm and another on his lower back.
In his post, Young shares a photo and expresses his discomfort with how close something is to his spine. To emphasize his point, he sets his post to a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song from the British rock band The Police in 1980.
After reading Young's post, numerous fans expressed sympathy towards his experience in the comments section, whereas some individuals defended the actions of the officers.
A commenter questions the acceptability of allowing them to continue their actions, and suggests that by taking legal action, one can contribute to preventing similar incidents from occurring to others.
One person expresses their opinion by saying not to interfere with someone's job and that they cannot sympathize with the individual. However, they mention that they still enjoy the person's music.
Earlier this month, the actor who starred in "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody at a bar called the Dawg House in Nashville. He was arrested on multiple charges including disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
However, when reviewing the video evidence of the incident, it becomes clear that the situation unfolded differently than initially reported. The footage, captured by security cameras as well as other individuals present at the bar, portrays Young as respectful and compliant with the officers during his arrest. It appears that he only made slight contact with one of the officers before being forcefully pushed backwards and ultimately falling over a bar.
The charges against the singer were dismissed, and Young then confidently responded to the individuals who criticized his decision to make physical contact with the officer.
Since all charges against Young have been dropped, the incident is no longer a legal concern for him. He will probably resume promoting his upcoming album, titled Young Love & Saturday Nights, set to be released on March 22.
