Chris Young Shares Injuries from Police Run-In: A Painful Encounter with TABC Officers

  • by

Chris Young displayed the injuries he sustained during a confrontation with officers from the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) before being arrested. The incident was just as physically distressing as it appeared.

During the incident on Tuesday (Jan. 30), the artist revealed the bruises he obtained when a law enforcement officer forcefully pushed him, resulting in him losing his balance and tripping over the edge of a bar. The injuries consisted of two significant and dark bruises, one located on the inner part of his arm and the other on his lower back.

In the caption accompanying the photo, Young expresses his discomfort with how close something or someone is to his spine. He shares the photo along with a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song by the British rock band The Police, to emphasize his point.

On Young's post, there were numerous fans who expressed empathy towards his experience, while some others supported the officers' actions.

One person in the comments is questioning the acceptability of the actions of the person or organization being sued and suggests that by taking legal action, it can potentially prevent similar incidents from happening to others.

One person expresses their opinion, stating that they believe it is wrong to interfere with someone's employment. They also mention that they cannot sympathize with the person in question. However, despite their differing views, they still enjoy the person's music.

The actor who gained fame from the TV show "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody for the offenses of disturbing the peace, refusing to cooperate with the arresting officers, and physically attacking a law enforcement official at a bar called the Dawg House in Nashville,

However, the video evidence of the incident, captured by security cameras and other patrons in the bar, presents a contrasting narrative. It shows Young being respectful and compliant with the officers during his arrest, and it appears that he only lightly touched one of the officers before being forcefully pushed backwards and over a bar.

The accusations against the singer were dismissed, and afterward, Young confidently responded to those who criticized him for having any physical contact with the officer.

Young no longer faces any charges, so legally, the incident is no longer an issue for him. He will probably go back to promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, set to be released on March 22.
