Chris Young revealed the injuries he sustained during an encounter with Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) officers, which occurred before his recent arrest. The injuries appeared to be just as painful as they appeared.
The singer revealed to his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he got when a police officer forcefully pushed him, causing him to lose his balance and fall into the corner of a bar. The bruises, which are large and have a dark color, are located on the inside of his arm and on his lower back.
In his post, Young expresses his discomfort with how close something is to his spine. He shares a photo and sets his post to a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song from the British rock group the Police in 1980.
In the section where comments are left on his post, numerous fans expressed understanding and empathy towards Young's experience, while some individuals came to the defense of the officers' actions.
A commenter expresses their concern about the situation, suggesting that by filing a lawsuit, one can potentially prevent similar incidents from occurring to others. They question the ethicality of the actions being taken by the subject in question.
One person expresses the opinion that one should not interfere with someone else's employment. They mention that they cannot sympathize with the person, but still enjoy their music.
Earlier this month, the actor from "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody after getting involved in a chaotic situation at a bar called the Dawg House in Nashville. The charges against him include disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
However, the video evidence of the event, captured by security cameras and other customers in the bar, presents a contrasting narrative. It shows that Young was respectful and compliant with the officers while being arrested. Furthermore, it appears that he only lightly touched one of the officers before being forcefully pushed backwards and over a bar.
The accusations against the singer were dismissed, and afterwards, Young confidently responded to the people who believed he shouldn't have interacted with the officer.
After having all charges dropped against him, Young is no longer legally burdened by the incident. He can now focus on the release and promotion of his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, scheduled to be released on March 22.
