Chris Young displays the injuries he sustained during his encounter with TABC officers in Tennessee, which occurred prior to his recent arrest. The injuries were just as severe as they appeared.
The singer shared with his fans on Tuesday (Jan. 30) the bruises he got when an officer forcefully pushed him, resulting in him losing his balance and falling into the corner of a bar. These injuries consist of two noticeable bruises: one on the inner part of his arm and another on his lower back.
In his post, Young expresses his discomfort with how close something is to his spine. He accompanies his words with a photo and sets his post to a clip of "Don't Stand So Close to Me," a popular song from the British rock band, the Police, released in 1980.
After reading Young's post, a lot of fans expressed their sympathy towards his experience in the comments section. However, there were also some people who defended the actions of the officers.
A commenter expresses concern about the ethicality of allowing such actions to occur, questioning how it is acceptable for the responsible party to engage in such behavior when suing them can help prevent others from experiencing the same.
Someone expresses the opinion that one should not attempt to prevent someone from doing their job. They state that they cannot sympathize with the person, but they still enjoy their music.
Earlier this month, the actor from the show "Young Love & Saturday Nights" was taken into custody at a bar in Nashville called the Dawg House. The charges against them include disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.
However, the video evidence of the incident tells a contrasting narrative. Both security cameras and other individuals present at the bar recorded the events, revealing that Young was actually respectful and compliant with the officers during his arrest. In fact, it appeared that he only lightly touched one of the officers before the man forcefully pushed him backwards and over a bar.
The accusations against the vocalist were dismissed, and afterwards, Young confidently responded to those who criticized his decision to make physical contact with the officer.
Now that all the accusations against Young have been dropped, he can put the incident behind him, at least in terms of the law. He will probably resume promoting his upcoming album, Young Love & Saturday Nights, scheduled to be released on March 22.
