The Future of CMA Fest: How a New Stadium Will Change the Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience

  • by

In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.

After being hosted at Nissan Stadium for several years, the festival's main shows will be relocated to the newly constructed venue once it is finished.

The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to collaborate with the Tennessee Titans every year during CMA Fest. They are excited about bringing country music enthusiasts to Nashville for the evening performances at the newly built stadium.

A brand new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, is going to be constructed on the eastern side of the existing Nissan Stadium, located along the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is planned to commence within this year, and the stadium is expected to be ready for opening in 2027.

Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium from downtown Nashville by utilizing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.

In contrast to the Titans' existing stadium, the upcoming location will be an enclosed facility designed specifically to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, a roof made of translucent material, and a generous 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.

CMA Fest, also known as Fan Fair in its early days, is an extraordinary event for country music enthusiasts. It originated in 1972 with a modest gathering of 5,000 fans at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over time, it has grown into one of the most significant annual events in the country music industry. Now, tens of thousands of fans from around the world come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists across nine different stages.
