In the near future, CMA Fest will undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being hosted at Nissan Stadium for multiple years, the festival's main performances will be relocated to the newly constructed venue once it is finished.
According to the Country Music Association, their future intentions involve collaborating with the Tennessee Titans annually during CMA Fest. They are excited about hosting country music enthusiasts in Nashville for the evening performances at the newly constructed stadium.
A new stadium, appropriately called the New Nissan Stadium, will be constructed on the East Bank of the Cumberland River, located east of the existing Nissan Stadium. The construction is planned to commence this year, and the stadium is expected to open in 2027.
Fans of country music will still have the option to reach the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by crossing the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
Instead of the current home of the Titans, the new venue will be a closed facility that focuses on providing an enhanced fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, a see-through roof, and 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is a remarkable event for country music fans. It was established in 1972 and initially attracted 5,000 attendees at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium. Over the years, it has grown into one of the most significant country music gatherings, drawing tens of thousands of fans from around the world. This four-day festival showcases over 250 performances by various artists across nine different stages in Music City.
