In the coming years, CMA Fest is expected to undergo significant changes due to the upcoming construction of a new stadium for the Tennessee Titans.
After being hosted at Nissan Stadium for many years, the festival's main concerts will be relocated to the newly constructed venue once it is finished.
The Country Music Association has expressed their intention to maintain their collaboration with the Tennessee Titans on an annual basis during CMA Fest. They are excited about the prospect of hosting country music fans in Nashville for the nightly concerts at the newly constructed stadium.
The upcoming stadium, appropriately named the New Nissan Stadium, is planned to be constructed on the eastern side of the current Nissan Stadium, next to the East Bank of the Cumberland River. The construction is expected to commence this year, and it is projected to be completed and open to the public in 2027.
Fans of country music can still get to the New Nissan Stadium in downtown Nashville by using the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
In contrast to the Titans' present stadium, the upcoming location will be an enclosed facility designed specifically to enhance the fan experience. It will offer breathtaking views of Nashville, feature a see-through roof, and provide 12,000 square feet of community space that can be utilized throughout the year.
CMA Fest, originally known as Fan Fair, is an extraordinary event for country music fans. It first took place in 1972 at Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, drawing in 5,000 attendees. Over the years, it has transformed into one of the largest annual gatherings in country music. People from all over the world come together in Music City to witness over 250 performances by various artists across nine different stages.
